Year
December 10, 2007 - Pack Meeting
Tonight Pack 39 held its annual Air Show. A large contingent was present
to participate in Accuracy, Distance and Time Aloft competitions. The
scouts who were present also participated in a drawing for one of nine radio
controlled planes.
November 12, 2007 - Pack Meeting
At tonight's pack meeting, scout advancements were awarded, and the results of
the annual popcorn sale were announced. Pack 39 raised in excess of
$37,000 in this years sale. Proceeds go to the expenses of running the
pack, to the Boy Scouts of America and to help support local charities.
Many thanks to all the scouts who sold and to their parents who helped them.
The US Army also wishes to thank our Pack as we sold and donated 1,179 tins of
caramel corn to the "Popcorn for the Troops" program worth over $9,400.00.
Den sales were topped by Den 14 in 1st place with $5,438, Den 6 in 2nd place
with $5,055 and Den 3 in 3rd place with $4,481. Special recognition goes
to our top six sellers:
Kibo R.
$3,126
Arthur G.
$2,510
Noah P.
$2,086
Zakary M.
$1,518
Christian T.
$1,054
JP H.

Each of these boys worked extremely hard to become one of the Pack's top sellers
and to reach the coveted $2k sale level. Congratulations!
November 3-4, 2007 - Pack Campout
This year, the annual fall campout occurred at Inks Lake State Park. We
were blessed with incredible weather and the turnout was great. The scouts
were entertained at this year's campfire by the country's premier storyteller.
In addition, many scouts toured Longhorn Caverns, where they journeyed 3/4 of a
mile into the earth.

August 19,
2007 - Westlake Beach Family Picnic
We enjoyed a good turnout and relatively mild temperatures, and had a
great picnic and BBQ. Thanks so much to everyone who brought food and to those
who grilled the burgers and dogs. What a great way to kick-off the scouting
year!
