Pack 39 Uniform Page
Dress Code:
Class A (official) uniform is to be worn for all Pack meetings and formal events where you are representing the Cub Scouts. The Class A is the formal blue (or khaki for Webelos) Cub Scout shirt with patches, rank specific neckerchief (orange–Tiger, yellow–Wolf, blue–Bear, plaid-Webelos I and II) and slide. Shirt tails should be tucked in. Optional uniform items include -- matching shorts or pants (blue for Cub Scouts, green for Webelos), belt, Cub Scout hats and red vests. See the table below for more details.
Class B (unofficial) uniform is our yellow Pack 39 T-shirt . These are worn at casual events like campouts, summer activities, and informal Pack events where it is noted. The t-shirts are sold at most pack meetings.
Red "Brag" Vest and Pack Participation Patches – Pack 39 gives participation patches for all of our main events during the year. These include campouts, Pinewood Derby, Raingutter Regatta, Air Show, Bike Rodeo, Blue and Gold and Arrow of Light. These colorful, unofficial patches can be sewn (or glued) onto a red "brag" vest, which is an optional felt vest that the scouts wear over their class A or class B uniform. The vest can be purchased at the scout store (see below). Scouts may add patches they receive through summer camps and other scout activities to their vest, and they can use it to display pins for various awards they receive. By the end of an illustrious Cub Scout career, Webelos scouts will have mighty colorful "brag" vests showing all the events they have participated in as a Cub Scout. These vests make great mementos & decorations for the Arrow of Light ceremony.
Dens should create their own policy as to the official uniform for den meetings.
