Summer Events -- 2008

 

District Activities

June 2008 Summer Day Camp at Emma Long City Park, June 2008
  • 8:30am-3:30pm (Non-Webelos - entering 1st, 2nd, 3rd grade) and 8:30-5:00pm (Webelos - entering 4th or 5th grade); Drop-Off is 7:30-8:30am and Pickup is 3:00-5:30pm 

  • Fun outdoor camp activities including nature, field sports, archery, bb guns, swimming, kayaking, crafts.  

  • Emma Long (City Park) is just over the 360 bridge south of 2222.  

  • You should have received the registration form in the mail - if not, you can find it here.   

  • Please note that for your boy to attend, you must volunteer at least one day during the week or arrange a substitute volunteer to provide a day for your son.

June 2008 Summer Resident Camp, Bastrop, Various dates between June 15 and July 1, 2008
  • 3 days and 2nights of resident camp at Cub World in Bastrop, Texas

July 6-9, 2008 Webelos Extreme Adventure Camp at Camp Tom Wooten, Dates July 6-9,2008  
  • You’re almost ready for Boy Scouts – so why not camp like it? For the first time, the Capitol Area Council is turning you loose to go beyond the Cub Scout program! During four exciting days at Cub World at Camp Tom Wooten, you’ll start learning the Scouting skills you’ve wanted to try:

     Canoeing!          Fire building!

    First Aid skills!  Advanced Archery!

      Swim parties every night!

      Movies in the woods! And much more.....

Pack 39 Activities

August 24 Back to School Picnic - Westlake Beach,  5-7 PM.   Picnic, swimming, and get together at the end of summer and before school starts.
