Treats for the Troops

This year we are continuing a program to allow supporters of scouting (who may not like or want popcorn) to still support scouting.

The program is called "Treats for the Troops" and allows supporters to purchase one of more tins of Caramel Corn for $8 each (or a case of 12 tins for $96) that will be delivered to our troops overseas.  Our scouts and the pack get credit for a popcorn sale, our troops get a taste of home, and our supporters help scouting!  A win for everyone involved!

Last year, Pack 39 sold over $7,000 worth of "Treats for the Troops" resulting in almost 1,000 cans of caramel popcorn to be sent to our soldiers!  Let's keep up this great track record of giving!

So how does it work?  Simple.

  1. If a customer does not wish to purchase popcorn for their own consumption, the selling scout tells the supporter about "Treats for the Troops".

  2. If the supporter is interested, the scout hands them a "Treats for the Troops" form (available by clicking here: TFTT Form.  The supporter completes the form.

  3. The scout records the contribution ion their order form as a sale to "TFTT" and enters the appropriate quantity on their order form.

  4. The scout collects the completed "TFTT Form" and payment from the supporter and thanks them.

  5. When the popcorn arrives in November, it will be kept separate from the remainder of our Pack's order and delivered to Fort Hood for shipping to the deployed soldiers overseas.

  6. Don't forget to the thank the supporter!
