Pack 39 Popcorn Pizza Party Prizes

Austin Park and Pizza PARTY

Date: Wednesday, October 29th     Time: 12:15 PM to 3:00 PM (BPE half-day due to parent/teacher conferences)

Directions: Take 360 north to MoPac to IH-35 to exit #248 Grand Avenue Parkway. The park is on the east side of the freeway.

Hit the magic $300 level by October 12th and you are on your way to the best party of the year!!

Please make sure that the Scouts have on their class B uniforms (the yellow Pack 39 t-shirts), and they arrive as close to 12:15 PM as possible.  We need two parents per den to drive and help with "crowd control".  You will be assigned to one of these areas:  checking boys in/out, watching areas of the park, supervising the eating area, walking small groups of boys around the events.  

Boy Scouts of America regulations state that Tiger level cub scouts need to have one of their parents with them on the outing.


Things to remember for Wednesday, October 29th

  1. Austin Park & Pizza is opening early for Pack 39's event.  Their normal opening hour is 3pm.
  2. Each den is responsible for arranging their transportation to and from the event.
  3. The boys will have the “Entire Park Package” which provides them with
    1. All-U-Can Eat Buffet
    2. Unlimited Video Arcade Games!  Ticket dispensing arcade games require tokens (each boys will receive 10 tokens)
    3. Unlimited Attractions!  (due to the special Pack 39 opening time, some attractions will be opened on a rotating basis)
    4. 10 tokens for use in the “redemption style” (ticket dispensing) games
  4. Height and weight restrictions will apply to attractions.  Boys must be at least 40” tall to be a passenger in the bumper boats and go-cart attractions and at least 44” to drive a boat and 58” to drive a go-cart.  For this reason, the assignments of 5-8 of the parent volunteers will be to drive scouts for 1/2 hour periods.
  5. Pack 39 will be paying for the cost of the All-U-Can Eat Buffet for parent volunteers and ; however, parents are expected to pay for any additional scout siblings they bring along.  The cost for those siblings is: $14.95 for heights between 40"-57" for the Entire Park Package or $4.95 for the same group for the buffet only.  Kids under 40" are free.
  6. Pack 39 will be paying the cost for the “Attractions Package” ($19.95 including buffet) for those parent volunteers who drive the go-carts and bumper boats.
  7. We plan on having one parent volunteer supervise the entrance/exit to insure kids are checked in when they arrive, checked out when they leave, and that no child wanders off.

Last year 62 scouts qualified for the party by selling the required amount of popcorn (that’s over $17,000 worth of popcorn).  Excluding the tiger cubs (whose parents have to attend), we had 16 parents attend.
